Assessment

Standardised assessments, screening tests and informal observations during play and conversation are used to assess a child's speech, language, fluency and social skills.

Therapy

Articulation and Phonology (Speech)

for children who may be difficult to understand, who are making sound errors or are not using certain sounds

Parent-child interaction

for children who may have difficulty interacting with their parents or who may be late to start talking

this therapy is also useful for parents who want to learn strategies for how to play and interact with their child in a way that will support their child’s speech and language development.

Language

for children who have difficulty understanding language e.g. need instructions to be repeated or simplified, find it difficult to answer questions

for children who have difficulty using language e.g. putting sentences together, using correct grammar, not having many words

Social Skills

for children who may have difficulty interacting with their family or peers, may prefer to play alone or dominate the play in group situations
